Why use Stone Paper?
MADE OF STONE DUST
Stone paper is a type of paper that is made out of calcium carbonate 80% (limestone) and bio-polyethylene resin 20% (HDPE). In this case, the HDPE which is sustainable and used from recycled materials is used as a binder. Limestone from existing quarries are then being used as the raw material and processed into a fine powder.
WATERPROOF AND WASHABLE
Due to its composition, stone paper is waterproof, resistant to grease and washable.
Without chemical bleach
The colour of Stone Paper is originally white, therefore it does not require any further bleaching process. Due to its high density, Stone Paper products also retain their shape over time.
BACK TO NATURE
The products are disposed and recycled in the normal way. The Stone Paper is then turned back into calcium carbonate and becomes limestone again.
